NorthLink WA is a program of road projects to be undertaken by Main Roads WA. These roads projects form vital components of a wider series of improvements to the Perth Darwin National Highway.
The primary objective of these improvements is to improve freight productivity by reducing travel time.
NorthLink WA projects have received government funding and comprise of three separate stages:
Stage 1: Tonkin Grade Separation and Reconstruction.
Grade separation of the intersections of Tonkin Hwy with Collier Road, Morley Drive and Benara Road.
Stage 2: Reid Highway to Ellenbrook.
Design and construction of a new 16km highway link between the junction of Benara Road / Tonkin Highway and Maralla Road, Ellenbrook.
Stage 3: Ellenbrook to Muchea.
Design and construction of a 21 km highway link between Maralla Road, Ellenbrook and the junction of Great Northern Highway / Brand Highway at Muchea.
In October 2015, Lycopodium was engaged by Main Roads to provide independent tender evaluation services for both the NorthLink WA Stage 1 design and construction contract, and the Independent Certification tri-party contract.
In December 2015, Lycopodium was engaged to provide project management services for the procurement phase of the NorthLink WA Stage 2 and Stage 3 Independent Certification Services. This included the following works:
- Preparation of contract documentation
- Internal Main Roads approvals to issue tenders
- Issue of tender documentation
- Independent tender evaluation services
- Gaining minister approvals
In April 2016, Lycopodium was to provide independent tender evaluation services for the NorthLink WA Stage 2 design and construction contract.
In June 2016, Lycopodium was engaged to provide independent tender evaluation services for the NorthLink WA Stage 3 design and construction contract.
