Project Overview

Hope Downs 4 is a 20 million tonne Iron Ore mine in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia as part of a joint venture between Rio Tinto and Hancock Prospecting.

Between January 2008 and May 2009 Lycopodium provided process engineering services to KBR during the Preliminary Engineering Study (PES) and Definitive Engineering Study (DES) for the $400 Mill+ project. Lycopodium key rail personal were also involved in the design of the rail line from feasibility, scoping and definition design to a level of detail sufficient to provide a +/- 15% cost estimate for the project.
