The project scope included shared pathway and road design, geotechnical considerations and drainage allowances.
The NCC commenced with Lycopodium’s detailed designs for an elevated shared pathway, which facilitated the connection to the new Scholey Street overbridge that was undergoing construction.
Lycopodium proved to be highly adaptable when the team was able to produce the accelerated concept and staged detailed designs after construction had already commenced.
With approval given by the principal contractor to land a series of piles behind a reinforced earthwall, NCC was able to secure funding otherwise reserved for the future. This allowed for Lycopodium’s designs to progress to the construction stage.
